We help people make some of the most sensitive decisions and face some of the most trying times that life has to offer.

Our goal in estate planning, special needs planning and elder law engagements is to empower clients to live their lives as they wish within their financial means secure in the knowledge that their wishes will be honored when they die. Whether helping a client develop an estate plan, giving the financial and/or physical caretaker for a disabled family member the comfort of knowing that their loved one will always receive the necessary care in surroundings that will foster the best possible quality of life the person can have, or helping clients avoid financial ruin that can come with an extended last illness, we explain the planning alternatives and the pros and cons of each in non-technical language, so that each client can make the best choice for him or her.

When a loved-one dies, families find themselves in Surrogate’s Court for the probate or administration the estate. We advise and assist executors, trustees and other fiduciaries in performing their duties and responsibilities and assist in transferring assets in accordance with the decedent’s wishes or, in some cases as required by law. When necessary, we also represent fiduciaries in litigating claims asserted by discontented family members or others.

We know of no situation that is more emotionally charged then when family members must seek the appointment of a guardian for a parent or other loved-one. We are proud to have the knowledge, experience and sensitivity to help families preserve the rights and dignity of their loved one.

Also high on the stress scale is the sale of a client’s personal residences. Our patience and willingness to answer questions about the maze of seemingly illogical steps in the transactional process has curtailed many sleepless nights for our clients.
